About this site
My name is Nathan, and I am a dad. To be more specific, I am a member of Generation Z, raised in the formative years by Gen X parents and in my college years by the internet and video games (would not recommend that). Now that I'm a dad, I am trying to figure things out. I have two kids, two jobs, and too many websites.
I am a husband, father, and software developer. I like to read, write, travel, and start new projects that never get finished. I am also a Christian, and I serve as a pastor at my church.
This blog and newsletter are an outlet for my thoughts on being a dad in these strange times that we live in. Certainly, every generation has faced unique hardships and opportunities when it comes to parenting. Still, it's a weird time to be alive. I think we're all trying to figure it out.
Every post published on this site will be my own work or the work of guest authors who are properly credited. I will not use generative AI for any of the written content that appears here or in my newsletters. There will probably be enough grammatical and spelling errors to make that obvious.
While I intend to write mainly about being a dad and family man, related topics like masculinity, self-improvement, and my random thoughts are fair game. I hope you enjoy it.
